Debra Keating – Wedding Celebrant Eltham
I’m Debra Keating and I am a Wedding Celebrant living in Eltham. My role is to help you to plan and celebrate your marriage, special or family occasion. I can conduct your marriage, renewal of vows, or baby naming ceremony; in fact any special occasion from a large formal event to small, intimate family gathering.
Most ceremonies do not have legal status except for marriages. I am registered with the Attorney General’s department to ensure that all the legal requirements according to Australian Law are met.
In saying that, other ceremonies such as renewal of vows, commitment ceremonies, naming ceremonies do not need to be registered with the Department of births, Deaths and Marriages, but often want to ensure that their ceremony is personal and reflects their own beliefs, values and lifestyle.
I will help you build your marriage ceremony and then conduct the event wherever and whenever you wish. Each ceremony I create and officiate at is unique and it is a joy and a pleasure to prepare and conduct a celebration that honours the love that you share on this most important occasion in your lives.
I like to perform a truly personalised marriage ceremony including the giving and receiving of rings, exchanges of personal vows and any family rituals, poems, personal readings or songs you wish. You can also hold your ceremony in a place special to you – on a boat, in a garden, on a beach, in your favourite restaurant, in your own home. Just use your imagination…
It’s my privilege to help you plan and to be part of your Marriage with no limits on your creativity, timing or location. For example I can help you add individual short ceremonies within the overall occasion, and you can involve family members and children to make the occasion unique and something you will all remember forever.
